No matter what went on before this, the driver deserved to go to jail. The problem is - I think the cyclist was riding like a dick at the RAB. If you look at the prior CCTV video that is around, making some assumptions on road layout, the bus was crossing the lanes as normal as the cyclist came up on the right. Certainly the beginning of the CCTV above is missing (the image is cropped) Erractic cycling by miles... embarrasment to the rest of us.

In that case cyclists should be allowed on motorways too, because why shouldn't it be safe, they wont die would they?! Many reasons you argument fails, here's some: Vulnerability factor between cars and lorries are not as high as between cycles and cars! Secondly, although heavy goods vehicles tend to stay left in multi-laned roads and try to avoid single laned roads, even if they are in single lane roads, THEY ARE CAPABLE OF OVER 30MPH! They require LICENCES and PLATE NUMBERS, unlike cyclists.

the bus driver should knock him from behind rather ramming the cyclist from sideway. at least the driver can defend himself by saying, its an honest mistake. i didnt saw him breaking. haha!

Actually no he hasn't. You can clearly see the cyclist cycling in the MIDDLE of the road, he has NO right being there. This of course still doesn't excuse the busdriver's actions but I myself have seen far too many cyclists provoking/mocking busdrivers with their lax cycling.

Come to think of it, you're right. This cyclist was so bloody stupid! I hope he realises just how silly he was clearly bigger than him, so he has no place on a road! Come to think of it, we should extend this new revelation! From now on, only lorries should be allowed on roads. Not only is it an affront to the laws of physics to have puny cars on the road, it's also unsafe! What if some fat beligerant fuck was killed horribly because they're stupid enough to not drive a lorry!

He has just as much right based on what? The law written by people who won't put their own children on the roads with cycles? Because they always consider peoples' safety don't they? Here's another set of laws: laws of physics. Those laws point out the difference in the momentum of vulnerable cyclists and heavy motor vehicles, see how the "rights" change then. Cyclists seem to lack the brains to keep themselves alive. Go back some pages and read my 5 points about cycling in the UK please.

To be fair the cyclist put his bike on the front of the bus and actually hit the bus continually while abusing the driver(all just before the CCTV). This doesn't excusing him trying to kill him but the cyclist kinda learnt a lesson and none of us know what he sais to the driver maybe he deserved it
